California based Helix Electric has expanded into Omaha, NE and is growing by leaps and bounds. Our team is looking for a bright and talented on-site Safety Manager (SSHO) at a large data center construction project (roughtly 130M electrical alone). The astute safety expert will interface with client site management, company site operations personnel, and Helix safety management team. The primary responsibility is to promote and support the Helix safety process as well as providing leadership and direction to their area and/or job sites.

Responsibilities:
Will assist Corporate safety management in managing EH&S;
Will have knowledge of OSHA 1926 regulations
Will manage incident investigation process, conduct site audits, ensure subcontractor EH&S; compliance, assist with new hire orientations, and any additional safety related tasks as assigned
Will work with and evaluate the performance of Helix operational personnel regarding regulatory issues as well as Helix corporate safety policy and protocols
Will assist in identification of safety related training needs as well as conducting safety related training
Will assist site management with toolbox safety talks
Will assist in making recordkeeping decisions regarding reporting of incidents and/or determination of recordability, and involve to the degree appropriate, the assistance and further guidance of the corporate safety personnel
Will review and monitor current Safety and Health Policies and Procedures as to their usability and appropriateness in field applications recommend improvements and/or modifications as may be warranted, and sustain site operations management input
Will assure training completions and other safety related documentation is completed and submitted as required
Will review reports for trends and make recommendations for protocol adjustments
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Safety preferred, but not mandatory
CSP or CIH a huge plus
10 years of construction site safety management experience preferred
5 years of large construction project experience preferred
The person selected will have experience directly supervising other full time safety personnel
Must have a current OSHA 30 certification or equivalent
